I’ve been wanting to make a wallet for a long time. It seems that I have way too many of those reward and membership cards. I also carry 2 checkbooks. I found a free pattern online for a ‘Mega Credit Card Wallet’ (see link below) and modified it to carry the checkbooks. The wallet in the pattern will hold 38 cards, mine only holds 24. I carefully planned out how to make the changes and since I always put my checkbooks in my purse with the opening down, I put my monogram on that way, not realizing that the finished wallet would look like a clutch with an upside-down monogram. I’ll probably laugh every time I see it. The font for the monogram is Fancy 1from Embroitique. I also embroidered the Velcro on like an applique.
