Back from a long time absence; too busy at work, got a knee surgery in June, and then me and my daughter went on holidays to London. (Husband still too ill to join us) Kathleen went on a short course of Prop Making at the university School of Arts in Wimbledon. We stayed in an Air b&b. Never had done that before. But we selected it cos it was close to school, so no hussle in the morning to get there. It was so nice to stay in the house of local people. They were so friendly and helpfull in any matter. While Kathleen was following the course I visited many fabric shops. Some of them had very nice fabrics, but some of them where also very expensive; ex one was 35 pound/meter. That is a bit too much for me. Attached a picture of the fabrics I bougth. I'm already in progress of making a blouse.
We did also lots of shopping. (Suitcase was a bit havy to get home, lucky we went with the Eurostar were there is no check at the weight) :-)
We also did a Harry Potter tour, a visit to the Warner Bross studios. This is really a must ! Even when you are not a fan, it is amazing what happens and needs to be done behind the seens of a movie. The guide gave us lots of extra info. I was impressed.
So, and now tomorrow back to work....
Hope you all are doing fine and doing lots of sewing,
Rgds Zoefzoef (Linda)
