poppies grow like weeds here in Uk - red ones are in abundance in cornfields and along the roadsides at the moment - wish I had a photo for you Jo
I love poppies too. I can even grow the Calif. poppies up here. I have those, red and pink ones in my garden. I hope I have enough seeds this year to scatter on the hill out front. If it works it will be so pretty next year and re-seed itself.

How can everyone remember all these sites. I keep saying, oh yeah, alot. I guess the newsletters must help, but I read so much, I get nothing else done! Oh well it's still fun!
