It's a couple of days away from Spring here in Australia and our resident beautiful Kookaburra is hanging around. He's been perching on our back deck railing and constantly flying at the glass window - he sees his reflection!!!' Can't wait for the next batch of baby Kookas. ❤️ Chris

Our Kookaburra's have been very active also the whole family have been singing to us starting at 5 am. I love it when the parents are teaching the babies how to catch the worms and grubs and hit them against the rocks so they can eat them. One little baby picks up sticks and bark and hits it back and forth, it gives up after awhile, it makes me wonder what they think. Barb

Lovely to see your friend back again this year Chris, ours have not gone too far away. At 5am every morning they are singing away, suppose they will move closer in the coming weeks. Sandra.

Hi Sandra, yes, I love watching them each year. It's been funny as we've had Lorikeets and a Duck checking the nest out! We have been shooing them away so that the Kookaburras can use it. Love Chris

Thanks Shirley, I'm sure they will still be around somewhere. They are very TERRITORIAL!! I hope you have settled into your new home nicely now. Love Chris

Funny me saying about not seeing native birds in the city yesterday. This morning while I have been sitting here at the laptop by the window I saw a little Blue Wren and a female. Hugs Shirley
