Cuties, I've just got to tell you something about Avery. I received a text video of Avery and I almost cried, I was so happy. She was on a 3 wheel bicycle, like a huge tri-cycle, and she was holding onto the handlebars and pedaling it!!! Her therapist was walking along beside her and another one was cheering her on,"Good job Avery, good job!".
Avery usually will squeeze her hands tight, but if you try to make her hold something, she won't. Well, in the video clip, she is holding the handlebars! I wish I could show you, I am so happy for her.
I just had to share the news with you. We all need some good news, don't you think. Have a nice night/day-Toogie
She always liked to swing. When she outgrew her baby swing, because of her length, my husband cut the frame and extended the legs, so she could still swing. The batteries were strong enough to swing her, as she didn't weigh much back then, but her feet would drag the floor before he 'customized' it for her. She probably was able to swing another 2 or 3 years.
They said they would wear Avery out with activities, so she would be happy to go to sleep, without meds. We can only hope and pray she can now.
I just had to share the news!-thank you
