In the northern hemisphere the summer is ending. I have had a very busy summer. Being retired is busy work. I have been looking after both sets of grandchildren but not together. Its been great fun but hard work so sewing has taken a back seat again. BUT I did get my 6 needle machine serviced. Much to the amazement of my dealer and possibly me too it fitted neatly into the front seat of my Nissan Micra. Today has been very special as two of my grandchildren started full time school, maybe this will allow more sewing time? Time will tell. The picture is of my youngest grand daughter who dressed herself and was adamant that she was right.

Oh how cute. Did she get a hold of her older sisters shoes? One foot seems to be correct. You are right, retirement is a very busy time. I am always amazed that another week, month or year has gone by. Sometimes sewing has to take a back seat. Children grow up so fast and time with them needs to be enjoyed.

Everyone is so correct. This is a picture to save for graduation! Love it. I agree. Retirement is hard! I don't know how I had time to work before! lol

I give her a big hug for trying. I agree this is a treasured moment. I hope you can get back into stitching. I'm still working on being able to stitch.

That's gold! A saying we have here in Australia. Our Delphi used to do that all the time. I've been teaching her right from her left and she's gradually getting it. The most fun is getting the seat belt done up in her child car seat. It's hard enough for me, let alone her. Good luck to your two gorgeous grands going off to school Caroline. Now the fun begins, going to all of their special days. Much love to you all, love Chris

Chris I have been attending the special days/performances for ages with them. Both Gruff and Gwen have been in school mornings only for over a year. I too have been working on seat belt training...

Aaaah. I once went to school with a black shoe and a brown shoe, but at least they were the same size. Also I was old enough to know better especially as I was a teacher at the time!
