This came out so nice. I should have asked you something before my daughter made one yesterday. She used a pillow form. Should she have cut the cover the same as the pillow? It was 16 inch square and I told her to cut 17 inch square and use a 1/2 inch seam allowance. She did and it is not snug on the pillow, but as she is just starting to learn sewing, she was fine with it. Tell me what you do, please.

She made the pocket pillow cover.
I have my pocket as wide as the pillow cover and just over half on the height,, hope you and her understand what I mean, good luck.
Yes, this I understand. What I meant was, is your cover cut the same as your pillow or a little larger for the seam allowance? I am sorry if I am not explaining well.
My pillow are 40x40 cm then I cut the cover 42x42 cm for the seam allowance
I cut my fabric the same size as the pillow form. No extra for seam allowances - gives a nice snug fit
