I have purchased a design of the newest verse of "Amazing Grace." (it starts with "my chains are gone, I've been set free). It is all one color, and I'd like to be able to change some of the words to a different color. I have PE Design, but I don't know how to edit very well on it. Outside of watching and stopping the machine to change colors, is there an easier way? Thanks in advance.

This is very software specific. I only have PED basic - which only let you resize a bit- not PEDesign.
In 5D and higher you just put in a colour change at the beginning and the end of the word (in Edit).
In Embird you need to select the word with the lasso tool (turns automatically red as long as you select it), separate it and then add the new colour.
In both it's a matter of a few mouse clicks, but quite a different method.
So I hope someone who uses the same program as you comes along and helps.

Thank you so much. I can't wait to get home to be able to read it. Thanks!
Got home hours later than I expected to, so I haven't had a minute yet to read your message.

I am unable to help with this but very interested in where you purchased this design. Critical family matter and this would be very welcome right now. Thank you for any help.

You can also change the colors in My Editor (Wings). Open design, click a letter, a block will surround it- click on another color in the colors toolbar at top of screen...the color has now changed. Or you can click the color bar beside the letter in the sequence viewer on the right side of the screen, and then select color in tool bar. Remember to change name as you save so the original remains in files. I think you have this software, also? Easy unless the song lines are written in script font-- maybe a bit more difficult!

Some of the words were in script, and instead of selecting a letter, it automatically selected the whole word. Which was what I was trying to do anyway.
