Belle dress
I made some change by adding embroidery to the center front panel.
Way too much work! The pattern only cost me 1 dollar on sale, but the fabrics cost over 80 dollars! Over 14 yards of fabrics!
It took me two days to cut the pieces out. One day to do the embroidery and finish most of the bodice. One day to add the glitter motifs. Two or three days of sewing.
I started in April and stopped after cutting the pieces out. Then I decided to finish before Lily's 5th birthday in June. I got the motifs done, got most of the bodice done and serged most skirt pieces. Then I stopped again. Finally I decided I had to finish before today or it will be too small by the time I finish as it's in Size 5T.
So here it is! It's super heavy with all the fabrics.

When she wears her dress she will know how much you love her! Perhaps one day her daughter may wear it too. Sometimes it is worth all the money and trouble to make something that makes a child happy. You created a fabulous dress for her!

It is absolutely adorable. Lots of work for sure but something to be very proud of. She can hand it down to her little girl, just have it packaged by the cleaners for storing. I just love the color and the motifs, her tiara crown and bouquet goes well too. She is such a beautiful little girl
