Oh Happy Day! After 11 days in the NICU, our little miracle baby got to come home! This was the first time big sister, Carrie, got to see her as no children allowed in NICU. Her first words were "Can I pet her?" then it was "Can I hold her?" Carrie is beside herself..note the smiles! Evelyn Grace came home weighing 4# 4oz...Carrie has dolls the same size! Just thought I'd share a couple pictures of the results of the prayers of many. (the yellow quilt my mom made before she died for her first great grand child, which wasn't even thought of yet! But we have wrapped all 5 of her great grand daughters in that quilt to come home...wrapped in their great granny's love. Yeah, I cry every time!)

Oh! Gerry I'm so thrilled to see Evelyn in her Daddy and Carrie's arms. She looks just like a little doll. I got all teared up myself when I read that all the great grandchildren had come home in this quilt. What a wonderful legacy your Mum left in making that quilt knowing and trusting that there would be future generations wrapped up in it. God bless, love Chris

There is the beginning of a lifelong friendship. How it makes my heart full. I know you are in love with her and she's beautiful. What a precious big sister adoring the new baby. That blanket weaves an entire generation back to it's roots. What a beautiful tribute to your mother.

Happy Happy news and so glad she was able to come home without too long of a delay, but boy oh boy would those days between Momma's hospital release and to that 11th day have been hard on Momma! So glad they are now all together and can enjoy the time together. Thank You for sharing them with us! Happy smiles all around!
