I am afraid that I am going to have a moan. Moderators feel free to delete my post.

I just do not understand when a Cutie asks for help, you do the work for them and hear nothing. I know we are all busy but surely it is only polite to reply.

I feel better now.........
I feel terrible that what I said has been taken the wrong way. I am not looking for thanks. I just would like the person to contact me so I know where to send what I have done for her.

I understand where you are coming from maybe she/he does not know how to, I know it took me awhile before I understood how to reply or maybe they having computer problems or maybe she is ill, but dont loose heart and carrying on with your helpful ways or eat cake it helps the frustration . Thank you Carol. Cannot eat cake as am on diet 😟
This was going to be my reply as well. Learning how the site works is a huge hurdle for many people.
I am not computer illiterate and it took me a while as each web site is set up just a tinsy bit different to others. It is like moving to a new neighbourhood. You know how to get to work and the shops but trying to find that lady 3 streets away can be a bit of a challenge.
I know that the first time I tried to help someone, I was so happy when I found the PM box...

Yes, I know where you are coming from! I just wonder and wonder if the answers were what the person needed. This community is so gracious to respond when help is asked for.

Thank you for your input

you are right! it's not that hard to say: thank you . Even if the help did not turn out perhaps, there's always the possibility to say thank you for trying, but ....perhaps there will come a thank you after all...it's never too late to say : thank you.

Please don't be disheartened. My Mom always said to give people the benefit of the doubt. That life happens and either they can't get back to you or they weren't brought up the same way and may need "gentle" reminders as she put it. Cuties are a very caring group and willing to help everyone. Hugs (Yes, I agree with you. A simple thank you is just good manners)

Know your disappointment only too well.
Sadly, not everyone has been raised the way our generation was.
Take heart though, we all appreciate you Sara. Huge Hugs, xxxx

As I said to Kim, it is not the thanks it is putting together something and not hearing from the person.

I know how you feel...my DH always reminds me that I don't offer help to receive a thank you...I do it because it is a part of who I am...and if I don't expect a thanks I won't be disappointed...when I get one, I will be elated.
Thank you for all you do for me and this community, Sarah...you are a true gem!

I think I have been misunderstood. I am not expecting thanks. All I want is to send what I have done for the person.
Oh...now I fully understand...sad when you spend time helping...and then you can't even get your efforts to the one you are trying to help...so unfortunate...

This probably won't help, but some of us aren't built that way, our mothers and fathers weren't built that way and did not teach us this. For folks like me, it may help to read your post and realize. I began to learn about gratitude when I was married to my sweet Charles, who was grateful and appreciate to everyone for everything every day. He was awesome to watch.

I can empathize! I keep up the TruEmbroidery / Premier+ Facebook and Google+ groups. Everyone knows we're just other users and not company personnel. I might fire up the software, take screen prints, detail steps - then never hear back from folks at all. They get their answer and disappear. There are days I debate about deleting people from the group if they can't be bothered to say thank you or that something worked. There are a few others who take the time to post detailed answers and often I'm the one thanking them - not the person with the question. Hmn, maybe I'll start plunking their names into an Excel and never answer another question for them ... a girl can dream, right? It IS rude and yes we don't do it for the thanks - some people are givers but we don't need to stretch that into becoming doormats. I feel for the folks who give free designs, some say when there's a glitch on their website they get all kinds of nasty emails - they can check and many of these folks have never spent a penny on their site but want to complain and rant if the freebie isn't delivered up perfectly. Sigh, takes all kinds.

I have a never-again-file, but I never consult it before answering a question. Just putting a name on it is my way of moaning.
I have one for spammers, people who post copyright designs (they only get so many reminders) - might just add a column ;-)

I understand perfectly what you mean. I hope you don't run into too many people like that. People seem to be much ruder and hostile on the computer than they ever are face-to-face with a person. Sometimes it is just better to get it off your chest and then move forward.

I will just forget about it, obviously was not so important.

I hear you, it happens all the time. I don't want or expect accolades but I like to know if an email was received and if it had been helpful.
