I apologize for my original post being in the wrong section. I hope I get it correct this time. Thanks for the insight, ladies.

So today is my mom's Red Hat meeting... One of the ladies (Elizabeth) is having her 50th birthday which means she graduates from pink hats to red hats. Thus I made her this hat as a present. It's a basic straw-sun hat which I covered the top with satin and embellished. the embellishments are butterflies punched out of coke cans with rhinestones sewn on, with rose red ribbon around the bottom, and then I added swirls of red glitter hot glue. For the brim, I took apart 2 dozen flowers from Hobby Lobby, cut the layers in half, and "flattened" them out by placing them directly on the brim with hot glue. I rarely like anything I make, but I think I would wear this. :-)
Thanks, Cuties!
-Kay
