Hi Cuties, I've been busy this week as our Son Ben and wife Naomi had their 'Open House' today and Trev and I have been over there getting it ready for inspection.
We had the boys again this morning from 7.30 till nearly midday and when they left Amy arrived with the girls and so I didn't get to do this tea towel till this afternoon (by which time I needed some ME therapy!!!!!)
It is beautiful and one of Vicki's (basketkase) designs. It sewed out perfectly. I made this for our dear friends Deirdre and John (who we visit up in the Hunter Valley). We haven't seen them for nearly 5 months - life gets hectic, doesn't it?
Anyway it is an Egyptian cotton tea towel with a waffle weave and made in the 5x7 hoop with over 33,000 stitches in it. I gave the leaves some sparkle using a metallic thread which catches the light so well. The catchy name is "Christmas Booty".
I also made a little zipper pouch from the Missouri Quilt company, but am not happy with it, so will make one in the morning before we head off at 10.30 (so no church tomorrow). Ignore the time on the bottom, we are in Daylight savings time now in Australia and it was actually 9.21 when I photographed it. Love Chris
Have fun visiting your friends
