Steering Wheel Cover

This is used to cover steering wheel from hot Summer Sun when parked so when you get back in you don't burn your hands.
A couple of weeks ago I was having trouble with this design and asked for help in Community.
Well I got a lot of help from Cuties and one in particular who gave me a list of things to remember to do. Some hints I had never heard of before but so simple to do. Well I followed the list and checked it twice and am thrilled with the result. Have it up on the wall and will refer to it all the time now.
Thanks to all who offered advice some things I would never have thought could affect the outcome of a stitch out.
The photo makes it look out of shape as I just have it over a chair back not a round car steering wheel.
Took me a while to get it done but worth the trouble I think.

Picture 2 Back

Please excuse the mess in the background having some work done in sewing room so everything is packed up.
Thanks for looking.

Just perfect now.Looking forward to reading the hints because I have had the same type of thing happen to me at times.
I miss the fan venitian blinds that I had on the dashboard in the 80's to keep the sun out of the car.So quick to put up or down , not like the fiddly sun shades that are available now

Outstanding work. That's a lot of stitches. So much more attractive than what I did when living in Texas - towel over the steering wheel, tower over the baby's car seat.

What a fabulous project! I see you mastered all the issues from the first stitchout. The outlines are perfect and I'm glad to see that the green guy is still with us! Good for you! Was there any one hint that made the difference for you?

Great work. Glad you persevered and it all worked out. Love the cover and i really need to make some of these. Might make for some great Christmas gifts.
Funny how sometimes the smallest things can cause big headaches. One that happens to me frequently is my thread getting caught up creating tension issues.
