Well, I've been playing around with making cards again. The lettering on the first one is part of my 5D software and the frame is one of Elsa's. The Christmas cards are designs from Embroidery Library which were free if you joined their Christmas Club this year. I see I have a few stray threads to snip to tidy up the edges. These designs fit in my 120X120 hoop and then I trimmed to fit the blank cardstock. Hope this encourages others to try this idea; would love to see any pictures of what you make. Blessings, Avis

do you line the back to cover stitches, I tried sewing card, and it perferated, do you do something to stop this...wendy

Wendy, i did not stitch these designs directly on the cardstock...instead, I put my fabric on a sticky stabilizer and did the stitching. Once out of the hoop I trimmed so that it fit the card and then glued it to the front with just regular school glue. These designs have too many stitches to go directly on cardstock and they would just punch out. I hope you give it a try. Thanks for your question; you can PM me if you want further details. Stitching on cardstock just doesn't work if there is a high stitch count...the design will just tear out at the edges, but it does work on some redwork type designs. Thank you for your interest and positive comment. Hope you try this one day. Be blessed, Avis
