Apologies for my absence but I went to care for a very spotty child with chickenpox. I have just heard that Jane who set her wonderful fabric shop up a few years ago in the town near me died of breast cancer at the weekend. She inspired many who didn't sew into becoming addicted with her constant fabulous selection of fabrics, help, expertise and advice of many fabric and wool based activities. As her cancer reappeared she closed the shop.

Sorry for the loss of your friend. Many of us still have an achy spot in our hearts over the death of Nancy Zieman, sewist. Sometimes it is the acquaintances in our lives that we value and miss.
