I made just a simple no-sew fleece quilt for a friend whose husband died just over 3 months ago and I wanted it to be a reminder so I embroidered this sentiment.

At a yard sale years ago she bought this super soft suede leather jacket that was gaudy with tassels and decorations and gave it to me because she new I would deconstruct it and use the fabric for something great. It yielded a ton of material... Thus I used a scrap piece of suede for this applique. The fluffiness of the blanket makes the heart look misshapen, but it stitched almost perfectly... the suede was thicker than cotton so if you look close you see a few stitches with fabric poking through.
