My eldest daughter and I helped out in my youngest daughter's class teaching them how to use a hand needle and making stuffed Christmas trees. They all had a great time and most of the kids had never used a needle before.all aged between 6 and 8 and quite a range of abilities. After sewing around the edges and stuffing the trees the kids got to decorating them with glitter glue and sequins. A wonderful time was had by all and we are booked in to do in again for the class next Christmas!

I was asked to keep the project really easy to cater for the skill levels in the class, for some trees we prepunched holes for those that needed them.

They are so cute. And what a treasure for them to keep.

The trees were sent home with each child near the last day of school so they could decorate their own trees
