Hardanger
The first Hardanger-tablerunner I made was a gift for my best friend`s brother`s wedding in 1983. The pink ones are from 1992. Patterns by Burda. Self-taught. My little masterpiece was the last Hardanger piece I made.

So, so stunning. My eyes would no longer be able to do that. This is a fantastic job. Love it.

Oh my word, this is beautiful! I'm not familiar with Hardanger, the process but I am assuming it is handwork. If so, such patience and perfection I've never seen. Thank you for sharing this with us.

I love hardanger work, my mother in law used to do it and it is so intricate and beautiful. Your work is fantastic, well done. Love Chris

That is lovely - are some of the threads drawn? I can't quite see. I experimented with digitising some Hardanger type designs, I'll have to have another look.

There isn`t much fabric left. In the first image the middle parts of the pattern are drawn thred. I fell in love with the pattern of the table runner the moment I saw it. It was only a small picture in the magazine. But after that I could not find a pattern that really hit me.
