No...I did not raid Toogie's fabric stash! Anyway, since I saw how sweet her hearts looked I thought I'd stitch some for Valentine's Day; it may end up being a gift. The large heart is done in my 200X200 hoop and I show it placed on a luncheon plate (8 1/2 inches diameter); the smaller one is the 5X5 size and you can see it in relation to a tea plate (6 3/4 inches diameter). Since Oliver, BC is in the Okanagan Valley of southern British Columbia and is known for its fruit, I used a cherry fabric for the backing. https://www.kreativekiwiembroidery.co.nz/page/182522

These are really great! I like seeing the different fabrics and effects they give the design. I think one of the great things about this site is that it inspires us to sew interesting designs that we see actually stitched out, and to improve our sewing skills. I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Thank you. I just had to post these pictures since I had similar fabric in my stash to that which Toogie posted earlier! I think that the 4X4 size coasters would help use up scraps. Will have to play around. Avis
