Looks beautiful. Could you send some of the sunshine up north? It has been cold, wet and rainy here. We have been "enjoying" some lake views too. Unfortunately, it is because the creek has overflowed creating a lake in my front and back yard! Glad you are having fun. Enjoying the sun In your pictures!

Wow! Toogie what a wonderful place for the Atlantis ll to be. It's a fascinating story, I've just read up on it on Google.
Thanks for the pictures they look beautiful. Is Mayport a coastal town in Florida? I also read the USS Little Rock is in the Harbour until March! Have a great trip. Love Chris

Hey Chris,
Not Toogie, but, Mayport is near the Jacksonville Beaches and part of the coastal area.. I worked for many years in the tall building to the right of the bridge in the second picture. When I was there it was the Independent Life Building I didn't know that Toogie was visiting my home town. The River City Brewing is where I had my husbands 80th birthday dinner. I do hope she is enjoying our part of the world. Hugs, Millie

Thanks Millie, I appreciate the time you took to write back. It looks a very pretty place. i live in Newcastle on the East Coast of Australia and it's famous for its coal. Newcastle is the largest coal exporting harbour in the world, exporting just over 161 million tonnes of coal just in 2016! Love Chris
May Port is Naval Home I believe--been there and visited a ship while there myself at sister in laws. I love everything to do with ocean and WARM weather. It just soothes my soul.

I have a sister in law that lives near St. John's River Jacksonville. Been to Fernandino Beach--isn't it all pretty? I love the ocean and wished I could spend 4-5 months a year there on coast either Atlantic or Gulf side. Love the pics--makes me relax!!

Oh Toogie... I wish that I had known that you were coming to "my" part of Florida. I've just logged back in to see what's happening on CUTE and see your pictures of my part of the world.
When I hear "trip to Florida", I immediately think Tampa, Orlando or Miami. I live about the middle between Fernandina Beach and St. Augustine (in Jacksonville Beach). I guess next time someone says Florida, I'll ask. I'm glad that you had a nice trip. --Sharon
