UPDATE: Thanks for the suggestions. I have placed the embroidery in a frame. I made a quick trip out and managed to find this frame at the local shops. It's hard to tell due to the lighting but the fabric is actually a delicate white paisley print on white cotton.

Am working on this gift for my niece who has recently had a baby but now I am not sure if I should frame it or turn it into a cushion. What do you think?

Gosh it is so beautiful I would want to do both. Framed under glass to hang on a wall would be really nice.
Well done on the layout of the name makes it look so special.

Thank you. That was my original plan then I saw it finished and thought it would look pretty as a cushion. I loved that I could set the names up that way.

I can only say how I would like to receive it. I think it is too precious to be tumbling around as a pillow. Framed it would be such a great decoration piece in the nursery and later a keepsake. Actually it always could be turned into a pillowcase later. Very well done. Love the whole layout.

Thank you. I think you might be right, I know i would be disappointed to see it just tossed around getting grubby.

Definitely in a frame. Too beautiful to be a pillow and left for a child to throw around and get dirty. Love Chris

It looks better in the frame than I expected. Unfortunately my photo doesn't do it justice

Thank you. I just got lucky when my niece and her partner chose names I could do that withπ. probably would never have happened if I wanted to set the names up that way!

Very pretty.
I have made several of these type birth announcements and put them all in frames. They have been well received. I prefer framing them since they will be a keepsake for ever.
I don't think I uploaded any because the names were on them.

Thanks. They are a lovely gift and am definitely sold on them being in a frame. I omitted the baby's surname as they have not decided who's name she will be having yet and I didn't want to display details online they have not shared already.

The frame is a great idea.If the embroidery had been on a larger piece of fabric ,you could of covered a photo album to create a baby album for the parents to fill with all things that they wanted to keep from Rosalee Marie first months

Ooh that's a lovely idea. I have done that for wedding guests to sign but I may just make another to make a baby album with. I have loads of.matching fabric and it will be looked after too.
