I started on my "Read me a story..." book pillow" and can't decide which pillow side I want it on...like, there are only 2 sides, so maybe I should toss a coin! It's on white fabric which doesn't show up in the photo.

You have made a lovely design, it is a personal thing which ever side you choose. Depending if you add a pocket, I decided to leave the back blank, and a large pocket on front. Sending you my photo just to give you an idea. There are some really lovely ones around at the moment.

Thanks for the photo! Love the little guy sitting on books and the funny machines zooming around too!
Mea culpa! Yes, that would be a very clever camera indeed.
I'll post the backside, no sense to posting the front again

I guess it depends on the printed fabric you will use on it as well. If the printed is a large print use the embroidery as the pocket if small print other way around.
Unless I am misunderstanding you and you want advice front or back of pillow in that case definitely front.
Love the design you have chosen.

Thanks for helping me figure this out. I want to make the pillow removable but keep a pocket for the book as well. I think putting this on the bottom of the front so that a book could be put behind it might work. That way I can remove the pillow from the back...I hope.

I'd have this beautiful design on the front (top) as it's too gorgeous to be hidden. Love Chris

Yes! I couldn't resist it for my grand newphew who is one now.

I see you did not show a picture of the stitch out but one from your software (which also shows size and format). Could you edit and add the photo of your project, please.

These are extremely popular here in UK - the embroidery usually goes on the pocket like this. This cushion has an envelope back.
As Mops has already said, this section is for pictures of your projects - please edit this to include a picture of what you have done.

So cute and beautiful. That's also a present for adults, love it.
That is a photo of the design stitched out on white fabric. The fabric simply isn't really visible. Sorry for the confusion.
That's a clever camera that gives the name of the design, the stitch count, the size, the embroidery format and the number of colors. Mine can only give the date.
I agree, Martine...never saw a camera that could put all of the embroidery file details in a photo!

I would love to see how it stitches out. A computer generated picture does not tell the whole story. I think it would look great on the front of the pillow.
