I had heard so many good things about Sweet Pea designs that I decided to join the mystery quilt project. I bought the first design last month and tried it.

I added extra stitch lines of my own so that it could be made ITH. Although there were a few things I disliked about the design, I did like the finished medallion very much.
I waited eagerly for the second month but didn't like the look of it at all. (I do have to say that other peoples versions in their own choice of fabric are beautiful.) There were a few features still that I really didn't like so I did my own version.
The picture is as it came from the hoop for the last time.
I'm not sure what I will do next as I only have a few scraps of my print fabrics. It may just get a border and binding as it is.

Excellent Sue, love your choice of fabrics. Your star corners are so much better than the flowers from the original pattern. I've also got both patterns but totally undecided as regards fabric. May I 'steal' your stars idea?

Of course you may! I pieced the geese - I have no objection to applique - only when it isn't necessary!
