The Groundhog was right....
Thought I'd share some pictures of the Nor'easter storm we had yesterday. Ah, and to think just last Wednesday was "Meteorological Spring"!
Photo #1 Male Cardinal staking out a claim to the bird feeder.
#2 Frozen lake
#3 Bench along our driveway, mounded with snow.
#4 Branches of shrubbery bent over with the weight of the snow
#5 Barn down the road from us.

Tha is a lot of snow! I'm hoping we get the snow we need, but I don't want it to still be snowing in June.

I can send you as much as you want! We got over 18" (or 45.72CM which REALLY sounds like a lot more!) LOL!
We had 10 inches but most is gone...waiting for the wicked storm they promised us this weekend...love it! Send us any you don't want -- but keep the really cold temps lol

Kind of what Spring is like around here. It has snowed as late as Mother's Day!

Wonderful pictures. I love winter and its special lights and moods. Mother Nature does`nt really care about man-made things like "Meteorological Spring".

I'm a fan of winter myself. I find it almost magical and absolutely beautiful! You can still get a horse drawn sleigh ride if you want around here.
In my childhood we had a bachelor in the vilage. If he was in a good mood and not drunk, he came out with his horse, a real big beast, and took all the village children for a wild sleigh ride, all the sleighs tied to each other behind the horse. What a fun it was!
Wow, how cool is that! Fabulous memories!

What gorgeous pictures. I love the 4th one with the snow on the trees. Thanks for sharing your part of the world with us. Love Chris

Thanks, Chris and you're right - It is so beautiful - almost like walking into a Christmas card! By the way, I threw in the picture of the barn to prove those pictures were in color and not in black and white!

Awesomely beautiful pictures, but glad I'm here! High of about 68 today. Did some spring yard cleanup, then sat and ate my lunch outside and stared at flower beds to think about what I want to change.

It was 62 here last week - and then this! LOL! Got us thinking about picking up fertilizer, potting soil and mulch! Well, at least we have a list of things for whenever Spring really does arrive!

Beautiful, just breathtakingly beautiful. I can just hear the quietness in the pictures. Love all your photos but don't envy you the cold that comes with it. Florida did me a world of good, sun and blue skies lifted my spirits and warmed me well. Hope you stay warm and no more 'Nor easterners' this year.

Picture perfect. You should print them and use them for this years Christmas cards.
In my part of the country we had beautiful weather about a month ago. Unseasonably warm. My fruit trees were in full bloom and then 3 days of frost hit us. I wonder what that will do to future crops.

Sorry to hear that your weather is bouncing around - maybe it wasn't enough of a cold snap to hurt the crops - I hope so. The temperatures here have been all over the place. Record high temperatures one day and record cold the next. No wonder there's so much flu and pneumonia going around.

Beautiful pictures! Now some warmer weather please hehe
We just got the high damaging winds, the fierce rain, flooding and power outages Lots of trees down. We personally just have big branches that fell. Hubby will clean them up this week

I'm so sorry that you got the nasty portion of the storm and not the pretty. We lost branches, too and many shrubs are bent in half and I'm not sure they will "spring" back once the snow is gone. Sending you warm thoughts if not warm weather! Hugs*, Deb

Beautiful pictures, I wish, we would have snow. Its very cold -20°C but no snow, this is bad for the plants.

Yikes! I'm shivering just thinking about that temperature! I hope your plants will make it through. Sending warm thoughts your way! Hugs*, Deb

Wow! that is why I left upstate New York so many years ago. Too much snow! It is beautiful though. Love the pics. Thanks for sharing, I am appreciating my mild winter here.

I still like the snow and it's beauty- I haven't reached the point where I want to head for warmer climate, yet. I might even be "allergic" to warm weather - I wasn't sick at all this winter until I caught pneumonia while in Florida! LOL!

Your photos are making me homesick! Winter was my favorite month in Michigan and, as a child, I enjoyed Jack Frost in the mornings. I don't think kids nowadays even know what Jack Frost is. Thanks for sharing the loveliness of the season!

Your Photos are so nice, Winter wonderland. First time I see the red cardinal in “life”, I have seen the nice bird only as an embroidering file- LOL, yesterday we had below seven degrees, today plus seven, a heavy influenza wave goes through the country, till present I am spared luckily.
