I’m sewing a rooster shaped mixer cover for my mom. There’s batting on most of the pieces so Smokey thought the stack of them was a good place to nap. And I got to use the old Singer machine on a project for the first time cause my Brother was missing all the stitches trying to put the wings on. It just zoomed right through all those layers. And doesn’t make any annoying beeps. I’m waiting on a quarter inch foot for it and then I’ll get started on that quilt I planned out two years ago :)

Newer isn't always better. My mom's cast iron 70 year old White machine out sews my newer Husqvarna machines - each and every time! Love Smokey safeguarding your cutout pieces !

I think the Brother will be mostly used for embroidery now. Or sewing things that I need to backstitch a lot cause the other one doesn’t do reverse

That Singer is amazing. Those old machines were workhorses. Love the way Smokey found the perfect resting place.

Sometimes mine will settle for sitting on my lap and other times he’s up rubbing on the machine (even when it’s embroidering)
