Please Cute prayer warriors, could you please add my friend's little girl to your list?
Her name is Wavenie and she isn't even two yet.
She took sick with a chest infection and her mum rushed her to the local hospital, when she started having trouble breathing
She has since been transferred to the, Gosford City, Hospital where she has been diagnosed with pneumonia.
I can't stop thinking and worrying about her, (my older brother died of pneumonia, around the same age, but that was 70 years ago before I was born), I guess it's only natural to fear the worst while desperately praying for the best. And I know medical care has improved greatly .
Thank you dear friends.
I'm sorry I haven't been online much as I am trying to cope with a few health issues myself.

How does one get good news that isn't really good news?
I passed on a link to all your wonderful messages to Melinda, Wavenie's mum and I received the following reply:
"Oh this was lovely to read. Thanks so much, it means a lot. You will be happy to know, it wasn't Pneumonia, just an Asthma attack. We're still not 100% but we are home."
I'm afraid I think it would have been better if had been a one-off bout of pneumonia rather than a (potential), life-long battle with another killer affliction.
All I could say was that I would pray it really isn't Asthma either, but just a "one-off" problem caused by the chest infection.
I wouldn't wish Asthma on my worst enemy.

So glad to hear that she is doing better. Asthma is becoming more and more common in kids. Luckily there are many more treatment options that can control the symptoms in most cases than what there were when I was growing up. In fact, my 8 yr old just had an asthma checkup this morning. My 10 yr old also has it. They are much better controlled than even when my older kids were little. I know it isn't a pleasant disease (what disease is?) but with proper management, a person can live with very few symptoms. There will be times when it gets worse like everything else, but there are more options today to get it under control again.

I'm afraid all my experiences of Asthma have been negative, my sister and brother both have Asthma and my previous partner suffered terribly with it, also, his daughter died from it when she was 15..... but that was 24 years ago.

This is little Wavenie, taken in the hospital, two days ago.
I'm so relieved she is OK.
