Hi Cuties, don't you just hate it when you go away from your machine, come back and misread an instruction and continue on your merry way only to find that what you've sewn doesn't work?

Well, second time round and it worked, but I thought I'd taped down the lining, guess what? It had come unstuck!!!!!!!!!!! Oh! well, you can't see it as I did some clever fixing! He he he, Mum won't know as it's right inside the lower front of the zipper purse.

These little zipper purses are for my Christmas ladies luncheon. I know Meg will peek! I won't put hers up!

Been for my early morning walk at 6.00am I'm now off to my local cafe for some breakfast and coffee and to do my cryptic crosswords and jumbled words and catch up with the locals then I'll take Mum to her local concert - it's a glorious morning here in Newcastle - 26C expected today. Autumn is such a lovely season and I can't believe it's Easter week, where is the time going?

Love Chris

(P.S. these are being made in the 11x7inch Husqvarna hoop, finished size is 9x5 1/2 inches.)

Lovely and I love the fabric, too...are these lined with no raw edges inside? If you make me one, I won't tell your Mum...hehehe...

Hi Kim, these are lined, but they have raw edges!!! I was thinking they would be great without but I don't have a spatial brain like you or Sue!! Love Chris

Thanks for the update, Chris...it bugs me to have raw edges on the inside of bags...

Very pretty. Is there supposed to be raw edges? If there is an opening at the bottom of the bag you can glue it together with fabric glue. Hugs. Nan W

Yes, they are meant to be raw edges, you actually open the zipper before placing the back fabrics and turn it through. Love Chris

Once again you inspired me! I purchased the bag designs. Printed the instructions, read them and hopefully I will figure out all the steps! I am planning on doing bag A 6x10, using my designer crown hoop. Off to the store to get some zippers. Hugs, Suzanna

The fabric is lovely, so spring garden look...it's odd it doesn't look square in the photo.....finish 9 x 9 in an 11 x 7 hoop?....

I think it's the camera that makes it look not Square

It's actually 9 x 5 and a half inches, it's a rectangle!! My mistake I was typing fast and clicked on the 9 twice!! Love Chris

Looks great, i love the roses. Do you know if they are still in business? I have printed out directions for the bag patterns I have, and they are just not clear. I sent email-just looked- wow, April 10 1017. Had to do with sizes of fusible fleece and wonder under. I just haven't gone back to them, and know I could work it out, but went on to other things.

Nice looking Purse. Lovely Rose fabric.
I think your purse would end up being the 6x10 size when finished if you used a 7x11 Hoop.

It's so lovely, Chris and, excuse me for saying this, but I'm kinda glad to see someone as accomplished as yourself has "those days", too. 😖 Hugs*, Deb

Ha ha ha! Deb, I certainly do make mistakes. I was even amazed at Jenny Doan when she was making the video showing one of her mistakes, but that's what sewing is all about isn't it? If at first you don't succeed try, try again! Love Chris

I'll put this up top. Carolynn of Zippydesinz is well and thriving. Hooray, I do like her things and have quite a few. My email to her last year got lost in cyberspace, and I never followed up on it.
My questions are answered, and I urge you all to go give a look.

I have always been an expert zipper inner person, right from a young girl when I first learnt at High School. It's one of my favourite things to do. Love Chris
