This past week has been awful, with both my adult daughters facing crises of one form or another. It sure is hard when your babies have grownup problems. Here is my beautiful red-headed almost-two granddaughter, which helps restore my joy. Maybe her smile will brighten your day as well.

It is hard to see them facing issues that I can't help with. I want to keep them insulated and I know that's not possible, but I hurt for them anyway. They are both strong, and they'll get through these trials

She would love it! The babysitter calls her Smiley Riley and says she's the book-loving-est child she's ever taken
care of. Her mom is a teacher and when they read "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" and get to the page where the bear sees the teacher, Riley leans forward and kisses the teacher. It's the sweetest thing!

It is hard to watch you children struggle, no matter what age. Sometimes, I think it is harder the older they get as there tends to be less we can do for them. Love the smile and the red hair! Hugs to you and prayers for your daughters.

Thank you. My girls will be fine, but it sure is hard watching them work through grownup problems. They are both strong, and will get through their issues. All I can do is step to the background and pray for them.

It does help mend my heart for sure. I get to take care of her one day per week usually and I love it. I'm tired at the end of the day, but we have a bond that I treasure so much.

She just makes me smile. I'm proud to say that she knows "thank you" "please" "you're welcome" and "excuse me" and knows when to say them. And I just melt when she says "love you Nana"

It is just too awful when our grown up children have problems. One feels so useless. They will get through it knowing they have a caring mum.

Thank you. My girls will be fine, and their problems will be resolved soon. One is a serious family health emergency, and the other is a job crisis, and both will be better soon. Just wish they could get through them without learning the hard way. Thanks for your words.
