Hello Cuties, gosh I feel my age tonight. I have had Nora for a few days and nights. That would have been okay, but she has had a virus, so we didn't want her with Gus.
My hall is wide and 19 feet long and the first time she threw up she threw up ALL the length of it, trying to get to one of the bathrooms. Poor child cried and apologized because I had to clean it up, because she WAS trying to get to the commode. I told her she couldn't help it, not to cry. I think she threw up 7 more times, before the diarrhea started and thankfully she stayed in my room, near that commode.
She is home now. She is lots better, but now I hope DH and I don't get it. She and I played today and made her and Gus some 'bracelets' from ITH cable ties. That's all the energy I had, but I did tell her another time I need to make her a new dress. when........I don't know.
I embroidered 5 shirts and a jacket for our Pastor, a couple weeks ago. I was asked to embroider more shirts for him for Father's day, so I know I have that to do as soon as they get them to me.
I had a drawing of something I wanted to do on a quilt, that if I don't soon start, I won't get made in time. I can't find my drawing. I hid it so good, I can't even find it.-lol I'm not an artist by a long shot, but I would have used it. Not sure if I can draw another.....Don't you just wanna kick yourself, when you misplace something? Believe me it's hid well, because I have looked everywhere, but where it is!-lol
Going to have my bath and sleep in my own bed tonight. Nora has a piano recital tomorrow night we will attend. I'll let you know how it goes. We missed her dance recital last Thursday, because it was the same time as Lanie's high school graduation.
Hope you all have a good night or day!-Toogie
He phoned to say he had a friend whose mamma died a while back. He said the friend asked him if I would want some SCISSORS (some new still packaged) (Dennis are you smiling down on me) and other sewing notions. My son said he would pick them up and bring them over, as soon as he knew we weren't going to catch the bug. Yea!!!
I know what you mean about hiding something. I have a quilt that needs finished for this summer and I can't find my container with the fabrics and blocks. Keep in mind that last fall I got a new set up of Arrow cabinets and took everything out of room, reorganized and set back up. Well, I set it up all right!!!! I can't find my walking foot either! ugh
It is bad when the little ones are sick and you're right about the 'bug'. My son and DIL had it a week or so ago but they stayed away from all of us. Gus has problems of his own and we didn't want him to get it and maybe loose weight, so Nora stayed here.
I understand about 'losing" things. I have a box of all my silk embroidery ribbons that I put in a safe place. it's been years that I have been looking for it. I actually bought a few more ribbons thinking that the instant I bought more, I'd fine the ones I have. Wrong.
