Prayers going out to all, especially Keaton. Hope they got him the anti venom rapidly. Boy, we watch shows on t.v. of this stuff. So afraid of any kind of snake or spider and all the unknowns you get and causes havoc in your body. God bless you all.

Update Thursday night-
Keaton showing some improvement-
Fever broke for little while- swelling in leg not getting any bigger around but swelling moving up toward body-
good sign he still has pulse in foot- said if no pulse would have to cut leg open to relieve pressure
When fever broke he told them he's hungry-
Another good sign his kidneys put out- said side effect of anti venom shuts down kidneys- so thankful for kidney function-
Learned when rattlesnake bites it shuts down nervous system causing death faster Water moccasin or cotton mouth the bite makes blood coagulate so you need to know what KIND of snake so they know what anti venom to administer
Family ask to keep praying for Keaton's recovery and thank everyone for prayers

Saturday afternoon update---
Keaton had a rough night with pain and high fever. Scheduled for surgery Sunday morning, Father's Day, at 7:30 am. Will be cutting out dead flesh and seeing just how deep decaying goes. Please pray no amputations needed and life spared. He is still in ICU....will keep you updated, but may not get to update until tomorrow afternoon. I will try to let you know asap, though. Thank you for continued prayer.-Toogie

Sunday update-
Keaton is out of surgery and they removed all of the dead tissue and flesh-it wasn't in the muscles so all the muscles are intact or it wasn't in the bone-they're going to go back in Tuesday and make sure they have everything and didn't leave any of it-fever has broken since surgery and really sweating profusely - it was a large area but not deep into muscle so he should recover well baring no infection or further decaying. Will update if a problem- Eterally grateful for prayers and support - still in ICU but oh so much better on this, our Lords day.

Praise the Lord!! Will continue with prayers for a full recovery.

Praise the Lord. He is good. Prayers that Keaton continues to improve and no more surgery.

Update Mon night June 18-
Please continue to pray for Keaton. He will have another surgery tomorrow.
Cuties I don't know if you fully understand the graphic extent, of what has had to be done, in order to try and save his foot and lower limb. Even after I prepared myself, I almost threw up. I feel so much grief and sorrow for this child! With a wound like his, there is always fear of staph infection setting in....I am almost sick with grief for this young man, like I was for Jerrilyn's son. I can't help but pour my heart out for them. Such sadness and pain for these young guys, to endure....
