Depends on who I am embroidering for I guess. I prefer to buy individual designs not cards or complete collections. When I buy collections, especially on disk/cards, it cost so much per design if you consider which designs you will actually use and which you will not. Many companies now tho offer multiple design discounts or 'make your own' collections. I like to add flair to kids clothes so I like graphics designs especially 'Indie', Celtic knot-work and tribal. I love to do jacket backs with complete scenes too ...mostly wild animals, varying cultural (Oriental, Celtic etc) and patriotic scenes. Have fun choosing. If you are like me as soon as you decide for sure you will see another design that catches you eye...so just pick one set/card and start saving for the next! You can never have too many high quality designs ya know!

You're lucky to have such a caring hubby. I would rather have the money or a gift certificate or debit card. That way you can spend it as you see something you like. *4U

I think a Sue Box or Glenn Harris design would be great. Glenn Harris's Furry Friends are absolutely adorable, and in great detail, and stitch out famously.

MM, I think it is wonderful that you DH wants to buy your designs - mine did that - but first - he asked me alot of questions - at the time I couldn't figure out why - but as time went along - I know know - he was asking so he could choose from a selection of designers - to meet my desires for designs - but with your work - I guess - it might be a bit harder to deside - but pick a designer with quality work - that you can stitch their designs out - so that your can learn a techinique from - with designs that you will utilize - not just put on a shelve - something that you have seen stitched and thought - I wonder how they do that? Something that you have seen - that you thought - would I wear that or would my .......... like that - or if you would rather have something else - tell him so - talk to him - he wants to please you - not give you something that you don't really want. Be kind to him and to yourself - pick wisely. Allow him to give to you - so that you can enjoy your craft, in some way or the other. Hehehe! And you just tell him for me - you both are very lucky!
