Yesterday evening I was given a present from my granddaughter Georgie. It bought tears to my eyes being told that she was not helped at all. She has always been talented with drawing but this was her first real try with oils. She painted it from a photograph.
I will treasure this artwork as you can imagine.

Thank you Laura. She will only be 10 yrs in November. My daughter, Georgie’s mum is very talented with art and pottery. She advised Georgie but Georgie painted it all herself

My mother was reasonable having had a few lessons. I am useless at painting. The only painting I do is walls and furniture.

This is amazing! Georgie sure has inherited her mom's talent. Love the splash of the waves on the rocks and the different shades of the water. Just like in real life. The water going over the Falls looked like bluegreen glass. She has captured the photograph well, I am sure.

This is a truly exceptional picture for such a young lass Sarah. No wonder you cried. Georgie has captured the movement of the ocean and the varied colours of the water is beautiful and I love the waves crashing on the rocks. I hope she gets to go to Art school when she is older and able to further her talent. Charlotte must be ever so proud too. Love Chris

Charlotte was painting along side of her and helped her with colours and mixing but all the brush work is Georgie.

By all means , she should pursue her talent. My Mother had it, my daughter had it and now one one of my granddaughters has it. They told my daughter she was to smart to to be an art student and my son in law says he will not pay for a college degree in art for my granddaughter. So they need to put it secondary and come back to it later knowing it is their true love.
