Thank you all so very much for remembering my birthday.
I would love to reply individually but the constant pain since the liver biopsy is far worse than before I went into hospital. It feels like I have a house brick in my upper abdomen and there is just no relief in sight yet.
They still have found no apparent cause for the Cirrhosis so treatment is stalled. I had more blood tests today, booked to have an ECG tomorrow, and yesterday I had a sit down with our wonderful GP, to work out OUR plan of action, regardless of what the Gastro Specialist might come up with.

Rays daughter is an RN Senior Educator at a large Western Sydney hospital and she immediately starting searching for another Gastro Specialist, she located an Associate Professor attached to Sydney University, whose sole interest is in researching Liver function, diseases, causes, and cures of all things Liver. He runs the teaching college and treats patients with obscure liver issues. I discussed with my GP that I intend to see this professor, for a fresh set of eyes, and he supports my decision.
So this is where we are up to, no further than three weeks ago and still praying for answers.
I'm on a high protein, low sodium diet, six small meals a day and my colour at least is softening to a very pale yellow. :-)

I did manage to have a lovely birthday, buoyed by all the love and wishes from my Cute family and friends. And our neighbours are all up for a street party when I get through this glitch in the road.
