I’m laying here in bed, just after 8:31 AM, having only got to sleep around 4:30.
In 4 hours we’re heading off to see the Specialist Professor, 100 km away, about my mystery liver disease.
I’ve packed a bag in case he wants to admit me to the hospital to run his own tests.
The washing is done, the bills are all up to date, yesterday I even stitched on buttons, reinforced seems, and hemmed pj’s to take with me.
We have been buying herb plants and I even potted out some more yesterday, making a little garden on our upstairs bbq table.
Then when I tried to sleep last night, the terrible, groin to ankle, leg cramps started, so I stayed up until I was so tired I was losing my balance.
I am putting all my faith in this new Specialist, praying for answers and the help I need to get me over this new obstacle.
I am so very angry with the local, ‘so called’, Specialist who sent me home, 3 years ago, telling me I had Diverticulitis, nothing you can do for that, so change your diet and take Osmolax every day.
From then on, every time I sought help for the pain in my upper abdomen I was told it’s probably your Diverticulitis, there’s nothing we can do for you. Even the hospital sent me home when my former GP tried to get me admitted for more tests.
Yes, I’m getting so mean I am sure I could take a bite out of the next person who is so blasé with my life.
Fun aside because I am sure you do not feel like joking. I am so sorry you have to go through this. I only hope that they can find the cause. I keep on praying for you. In the meantime I can only send cyber hugs and prayers. Hugs
P.S. Love your herbs.
I’m sure it is not easy to be a doctor, so many thins you need to know and think about. But that is why you have doctors and specialist. Those who should know a bit more about a part of our complicated body. And also I would be able to understand if they would say, sorry I really do not know. Instead of checking some vital things, give you the bill and a sort of see you next time. There should be more of those guys like the tv serie of ‘dr house’ who look for it untill they find it.
Good luck !
Jo
Peace be with you always,
