Praising God Almighty. Just got back from the oncologist with my Mom. We were afraid that the tumor found in her breast was a return of her breast cancer. (she is a 33 year survivor). But is is the same as the tumor in her abdomen which turns out to be a very slow growing type of cancer. She had the choice of NO treatment or a 4 week course of immunotherapy. The immunotherapy does not have all the nasty side effects of chemotherapy and is supposed to be well tolerated. We decided on the immunotherapy only because Mom's primary doctor said if it were her Mom, she would have it treated. An answer to prayer. Thank you all.

So, sometimes a cancer diagnosis is almost good news! I'm so glad you have this relief and I hope the immunotherapy goes well and she gets back to feeling good! Continuing to pray for her and for you.

That is what Mom said also. "I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the fact that I have cancer, but it is ok!" Thank you for your prayers.

That is great news. My mom is an almost 3 year survivor of stage 3 colon cancer. Neither she or my dad are able to drive, so I take her to her checkups and I worry about the results every time she has lab work or other tests. Cancer has changed our lives in lots of ways, and one way is that we have all drawn a little closer as a family, and that we talk about prayers unashamedly, where we used to be more reserved.

Difficult times can either bring people together or drive them apart. So glad to hear you are closer with your family. My Mom doesn't drive anymore either. Cancer does change priorities.

Yes, it was quite a relief. We were starting to get quite worried because they told us when they did the last biopsy that we would have the results in two days. Three phone calls and a week later, we finally got the results.

You don't mention how old your Mom is, but so glad anyway that she decided on immunotherapy. Please give her all our good wishes for a favorable outcome and keep us informed as to how she is doing. Hugs. Nan W

Thank you Nan. Mom will turn 85 in a couple of weeks. She had said that if they had wanted to treat with Chemo, she would have declined.
