I am currently working on a series called Distressed Collage.....this is #1...do you see a market for something like this? I personally love the look, but other than to frame it or use as a quilting square, can't think of any other use. Can you tell what it is? It is a collage of leaves......I have a few more done and will show them, but don't want to go too far with them til I get some of your feedback......

Wow!!! This is sure different than what I normally see from you. I like the concept and design, but you are right. I think the uses are limited. I could see this on a tote, or the back of a jacket...perhaps an all over jacket back...and placemats. At first look, I had trouble seeing the leaves as leaves, but knowing they were leaves, I made sense of it. A lot of people just look at the design and don't pay much attention to the design's name. If I'm not interested at first glance, I move on. I go to your website actually, I probably should stop doing that (my computer tells me I have almost 200 of your designs) when I'm looking for something funny, a play on words, and makes me laugh. That's no reason why you shouldn't branch out and do new things. That's how you grow. Maybe make a new section on your website and put your collages in it and see if people buy them?

I don't even know what appeals to me but for some reason I really like the look.....I will do a few more and we'll see how it goes....I appreciate the feedback....

Could use it in a quilt calling for different textures I am thinking of wall hanging,... a forest of trees with falling leaves. You have started something in my head ... Something different ... Thank you

If this is number 1 Vicki, how many are you going to do in the series? When I first saw this I thought along the lines of the 4 seasons of the year! There seems to be a lot of work in this square Vicki, well done. Love Chris

Yes Chris, these are like those pics that look different to each person.....I have 9 of these and have 4 done, I will show the others upon completion of stitching.
BTW, Jim saw butterflies in the piece...….

Great series Vicki! I can see all 9 done in a row for a table runner. On this square, the background of white threads would look really good with black too, it would be like textures! Fun series for something different!!
