Shoes for a 18" Doll

I used vinyl instead of felt. They're from the same design, I just didn't sew out the bows on the white pair.

Thanks for looking.

The design is from Sewing for Sarah

Thanks, Chris. I would have had the doll model them - but they walked out the door before I could get a picture! LOL!

You should give them a go. They stitch out in no time and are super easy,

I so want to make these. They are so cute! I have 2 dolls I am refurbishing and not sure if these would fit. Love it with the vinyl.

They fit an American Girl 18" doll is that helps... If they're done in felt, they have a little stretch to them, if the doll needs more toe room, :-)

These turned out very cute. I am afraid to try something so small. Great job.

They're not really that small, or hard, for that matter - you can do one shoe at a time in a 4x4 hoop or stitch the pair in a 5x7 and they're done completely in the hoop.

I have tried to get on the web sight sewing for sarah and it gives me a blank page. What am I doing wrong?

You have done a nice job on these. I have bought several of her shoe patterns ,including this one, for both the 18in doll and The Wellie Wisher size dolls . My seven year old and 10 year old granddaughters love to make them on the embroidery machine by themselves. This style is sometimes difficult to turn, but the result is so worth the effort and the kids little fingers really make the job easier. Good job on them!

Thank you! Next time I need to turn them, can I borrow your granddaughters? :-)

They would love to help you. The 1O year old does the trimming for the 7 year old but they both are pretty good at turning them.
