DH has just had a giggle at my dog’s toys hanging on the line. They get absolutely filthy but unfortunately washing damages the squeakers inside. I wish I could get new ones to replace them.

Lucky dogs, they are really spoilt. What we will do for our loving pets. Sarah, have you got a Chinese mall anywhere near you, or when you go up to the Transvaal they normally have strange items that we cant get in our other shops, you may be able to pick up a squeaker. You could always purchase a small squeaky toy like a ball and put it in them. Hugs Maureen

Love them all hanging up in a row. Have you tried Google to see if you can find some squeakers nearby? Love Chris

I have tried but the postage is ridiculous. I know I will get some when I go to Johannesburg in October.

Smart Needle .com has them. They are called Squeeky Toy Pack and there are 12 in a pack for $7.99 USA.
Hope this helps. Love your clothes line of washing.

This picture is a hoot! At first I thought I had gone to the "dead things on a clothesline" site!

I buy my squeakers at Home Sew in Pennsylvania. 10 squeakers for $3.99 USD or 100 for $24,50. I know you're not in the U.S., but maybe, if you can't use this information, someone else might be able to.

I will have a look. I certainly do not mind paying $ but it is the postage that is so terribly high.

I know, the postage rates are crazy. Sometimes they offer a special for free postage - but I'm sure it's only for the US. Sorry.

When I washed all my dogs toys, the squeakers started working again after they toys completely dried out. That is as long as they were not washed in hot water or put in the dryer.

You are lucky - my granddog gets the squeaker out and the stuffing is not much later.

At first I thought someone had been hunting.
Our dogs toys have a pool party every so often, the white ones at times have to be soaked over night in napisan ,before they get into the washing machine.
Then they have to be put out of sight to dry,so she doesn't spend ages whinging & dancing around underneath the line for them, even though she has others to play with.
She had one toy that had been washed several times & we discovered it had a squeaker in it because it got trodden on, to our surprise.

I wash them by hand as quickly as possible because I am so worried that I will ruin the squeakers

I've gotten squeakers on Amazon. Don't know if the shipping is any better with them. Love the "dead animals" These look like the ones that don't have stuffing in them. I had to resort to those also when I got tired of picking up stuffing 5 minutes after giving our dog the toy. LOL They do love their toys.

No they do not have any stuffing. My Pekingese plays with different ones each day and runs around the house biting the squeaker.
