Another amputee in the family. This is Dragon, Joshua’s beautiful Siamese. On Friday Dragon got involved with a dog and got badly hurt. His left front leg was broken in several places above the elbow. He is now standing but very loathe to walk. He can come home tomorrow from the vet providing he is taking a few steps.

The family have been assured that he will have a normal life. Josh was absolutely devastated.

Dragon lives in Johannesburg so when Josh left Johannesburg on Wednesday, Dragon was still fine. I am just relieved that Joshua did not see him so badly injured.

He will be climbing trees in no time. It is amazing how adaptable cats are. I had a cat growing up named "Thundering hoofbeats" who came home from the vet minus a limb and immediately climbed a tree. He is a beautiful cat. Is he full blooded siamese? He looks like he is.

I'm sorry to hear of his injury. Is he on any pain meds? It sounds like he was lucky to get away with his life, but not without damage. It's ok to baby him while he's adjusting, but he'll feel better and learn how to run again.

Oh I am so sorry for Dragon. Have had several Siamese felines in my life. He will probably cry a lot but will adapt. Keep him away from dogs unless he is friends and has adapted to them. He will be very scared of them now.

Not sure if Joshua is going to minister to the cat or vice versa, just know that they now have another link.

That is so sad for Dragon, but I know he will adapt once he has healed. Cats are such amazing and adaptable creatures. Condolences to Joshua.
It must have been a devastating break for the Veterinarian not to be able to save the leg. Thinking of and praying for you all. Love Chris

Thank you Chris. If it had to happen it is a shame it was a front leg and not a back leg.
