The variegated thread is a great idea! I also prefer the black for eyes. In the picture, they show up much better. They are darling!

I use a charcoal gray a lot when I do projects like this one. The charcoal shows up well, isn't quite as bold and gives a softer look.They are cute!

The variegated hats look great blue one with the grey eyes looks washed out. Definitely the black eyes.

Love the Variegated threads for the Hats. Yes black or a very dark charcoal for the features.
