Decorating for Christmas thought I'd share...Here is a blast from my past! Before I began machine embroidery I taught fabric painting an quilting separately...then I decided to combine the two arts and here is one of my hand painted quilts...It started with a piece of unbleached muslin...all of the details are hand painted, including the small green and gold metallic half square triangles...just imagine a plain old piece of muslin transformed into this Christmas table topper...It is all free-motion quilted and they are all my own designs... Thanks for looking, Cuties....

SIMPLY OUTSTANDING! Well done, it's a real heirloom and all done by paint and sewing, I'm very impressed. Love Chris

What a lovely treasure. It doesn't look like the fabric colors have faded at all. Is there a special technique or paint that you used to keep it looking so new?

Thank you...It hasn't faded a bit...It has been through the washer and dryer too many times to count. It is painted with fabric dyes and detailed with permanent pigma pens. I have done many quilts and hundreds of sweatshirts in the classes I taught

Oh Kim this is truly a masterpiece. All these combinations of your skills into one. I love the quilting. Makes it reversible. I am glad I waited to take a closer look, after cataract surgery.

So Angie, you got your windshield cleaned.....at least that what I told the Dr I felt like after having my cataract surgery. I told him I felt like he took me through the car wash and cleaned my windshield, everything looks so bright and new-lol

Yes Toogie I did. Unfortunately I also see more of the dirt and dog hair. Ha ha
