It is dance concert time again. I embroidered some shirts and added some hot fix crystals for extra bling for some of us that will be helping. I put thses on the backs of the shirts. I bought the design ages ago but didn't like the background so edited it out except for the music bars. Glad I didn't buy them at full price as I wasn't 100% happy with the way it was digitized but since working in commercial embroidery (and still learning) I have become very particular. They must still look ok though as I had one of the dance teachers ask to see more of my work as she has some things she would like done. They show up really well under the lights back stage as they stand out. Thanks for looking.
The girls would have looked great in the shirts.
Nice that the Teacher asked about your work. Just remember to put a deadline date on work wanted for Christmas or you will be burning the midnight oil to get things finished.
I hardly ever get outlines to stitch out properly, but I keep trying to get them perfect. Sometimes, if they are really really bad, I take them to my sewing machine and just fill the area in very carefully. I know that some people use markers. The problem I have with that is if I don't have the exact color, it looks awful. These outlines may not be as perfect as you want, but no one wll notice except you!
Our Jasana and Aqualina are having photos taken for their Dance Academy today from 8.00 till 1.00. There are hundreds of girls in the group and they all have to have their different costumes on, individual shots and their group shots etc.
Next Saturday night is their concert at the Griffith Duncan Theatre at Newcastle Uni. I go every year and it's a fantastic concert.
