Hi all, I've finished Ophelie's Christmas dress hooray!!!! I've just got to get some buttons and I think I'll put on some sash holders later this coming week. It's taken me most of this afternoon, whilst Trev's been busy vacuuming and tidying up my sewing room around me so it will be nice and ready for tomorrow's Ladies Christmas luncheon.

I've done all the food shopping, but will buy a hot chicken in the morning, I like chicken best on the day. I'll make the punch up in the morning also and a few other bits and pieces.

I can't wait to see the girls in their dresses, they will be so cute. Love to all and I hope everyone is having a great day. Love Chris

This pattern is called the Posey dress from Ainslee Fox Patterns here in Australia.

Thanks Marian, love the pattern too, though it's a very fiddly one to make with all that detail on the neckline! Thanks for the wishes for the luncheon, it's going to be a hot one I believe. It's been in the high 20's today and about the same tomorrow with maybe a thunderstorm in the afternoon. I've got the air conditioners at the ready, just in case! Love Chris

The dress is so festive. All the girls will look fabulous. Have a great time tomorrow with your luncheon. You always have such a nice setup. I look forward to the pictures to see what all you have done to make the season special.

Hi Chris, thanks for commenting and my colours this year are Red, Silver and white and of course Kim's little Gingerbread men she digitised for me.

I'm just setting up the tables as I write this, having a breather at the moment. I've got the portable air conditioner on that Trevor bought me so I can have it in my bedroom when it gets really hot. We've got air conditioners in this back room and the lounge room, so just in case I'm ready. Love Chris

Thanks Nan, I don't think I'll be making them to much longer at least for Jasana, she's going to be 12 next May. She's getting so tall now too! Love Chris

Chris, are you sure you don't a clone or two helping you out? Wow, you must work 23 hours a day to get everything you get done at this time of the year! Amazing!!! Ophelie is going to look gorgeous in this dress! Good luck with the luncheon and be sure to tell us how it went, Hugs*, Deb

Another beautiful dress, Chris...I have not done much dress sewing for my "girls" lately...the little ones are getting a bit gipped though...I have not done much for them lately...perhaps I will get back into the swing of sewing the little ones more dresses next year...the oldest will be 12 next year too...a bit too grown up for these little frocks I think...

Thanks so much Laura, I hope they do. I still remember my dresses from my Nanna when I was a little girl and I loved them. Times are different so many bought store clothes and cheap! These dresses take hours and sometimes days to make! Love Chris

It makes me dizzy just thinking about all the things you do. Hats off to Trevor for pitching in even though he will be booted out during the "Lady's" luncheon. Love the dress.

Ha ha ha! Yes Trev is a gem. He's been in this morning to pick up Delphi and came back here with Ophelie and then is going back into town to take Ophelie to school. Amy didn't get Delphi into daycare - her fault, she knew about this luncheon for ages!!!! Anyway, she has just rung me to say that a friend of hers is going to come out and pick Delphi up and take her back to her place near Amy's home. Trev said he'd pick up Ophelie after school and then get Delphi and he'll come back here later. I told Trev I'm sure Meg will still be here he he he! Love Chris

Funny that isn't it? They have a habit of growing up, and this one is getting tall, but with a father over 6ft I think she's going to be tall too. We had a great day, love Chris

All the dresses are so cute, Chris. Are you through now, is this the last one? You stay as busy as me with all the running and doing. Sometimes I feel like we are like a dog, chasing our tails-lol-I must admit though I haven't helped out lately, been too under the weather. Hope to see a post with their pics in the dresses!

Thanks Toogie, yes, this is the last one. Last night Aqualina wore her dress to their school's Carols on the Green at Floraville Primary school. I think Jasana was going to wear hers too, but we had swimming and Aqualina put hers on straight after her show and by the time I got them all home it was 5 mins to 6.00 and they were rushing to go off to the school. I'm sure they all made it as Jasana was in the choir and they weren't on first. Yes, it's all go with all the grand-kids, but we wouldn't have it any other way, would we? Love Chris
