Hi Cuties, I wanted to show you this baby quilt, I made for my first little great-grand daughter, due in April. I used 'scrap' fabrics left over from our 50th quilt. Instead of making Prairie Points on it, like I did Nora's queen sized Pinwheel, I made flying geese around the outer edge. I 'over quilted' I do believe. This is a lot of quilting for such a little quilt, about 42 inches square. I will need to add a label in April, when I meet our new one (find out her name). I hope mom and dad (Caleb) like it.

I already gave my other grandson (Dalton) his baby's quilt. His baby boy Dawson is due, about 2 weeks before Caleb's girl, in March. It was the duck panel, because that is his room decor ( Uck for a baby-lol), but new parents loved it..Hope you like another Pinwheel. Have a great day friends, Toogie

Absolutely loving this-The colors are fantastic--I was saving all scraps I could get my hands on with tiny flower prints thinking I would make a cat block quilt [I am NOT a cat person although they are cute] but now decided against that----maybe one day I will just make squares and then cut for this type quilt or lap quilt. I always need to cover up always cold. Made my last little great-granddaughter a quilt all of flannels and haven't seen it in her room yet. I don't think I will go through this much trouble anymore for anyone but ME!

Make yourself something, you deserve a treat! I wouldn't make a quilt for someone I know doesn't appreciate. It is a lot of work, but unless I am in a hurry, I enjoy it.
BTW thanks for the Christmas Wishes!

This is just delightful Toogie the parents will love it and I'm sure so will the baby girl when she is older and knows that Great Grandma made it. Well done, you've been a busy bee. Love Chris

Well Chris, most were left over corners from my snowball blocks I trimmed off or squares left from the 9 patches of the 50's quilt. I did have to cut a few but not many, mostly the whites. Thanks!

Absolutely great. It looks so cheerful with all the scrap fabrics you were able to use. Some day you may be able to tell that great grandchild where the fabric came from.

If not, I'm sure her mom and dad will. They both have a strong bond of family. Caleb says he always looked forward to Christmas at our house. He says I always made it special for them. All I can say is I try.

It's bee-you-ti-ful! Keep your picture handy so you can compare if it becomes a draggy blanket when she's two. A girl will bundle up really cute in this - send pictures after April.

But of course!-lol
I told Nora, the baby could use it for her dolls, when it gets too small for her. Nora is 5 and tall, but she could wrap up in it.
