I have an ElectricQuilt5 that I've had for ages and really never got into using. I hate wasting money, but just can't get my heart into this one. Any experience with getting motivated or can you talk me into shipping it to you? :)

Well I haven't got a clue what a EQ5 is so I am off to find out but the shipping costs will be prohibitive if I say yes. Why haven't you got into using it?

I know nothing about them my dear or I would try to be of some help. I'm simply an " old fashion quilter" and have had no experience with these. I do understand there is a 6 and 7 now.

I have no idea how many there are now. I just never got into it as I'm an old fashion quilter also.

I have 8 and have not used it yet. At least I did not spend a fortune on it. It was a super super sale. I just do not seem to have the time to learn anything new or my brain is full.

I can certainly understand that, Angie. I think maybe mine got so full that I've had to start dumping some non essentials to make room for today.

Even Nora at 5 years old notices how forgetful I am. The worst I missed Avery's Christmas play AFTER Ashley had told me about it just a couple days before. So, Avery's Christmas Party, Birthday parties at school and home, Nora's piano recital and dance recital were all written on my calendar, in HOPES I would remember to look at the calendar!

It is a wonderful program, I have used it for years. You can print any size block and the templates with seam allowance. Unfortunately I also have version 5, but not compatible on windows 10. I used to sit and design quilts just for fun with all the fabric samples in the program. On the website there are many tutorials to learn.

Until I read below I didn't know what it was-lol-I have fabric bought for some quilts I want to make. I'm working on completing my quilt list, for my children, grands, before I die. If other projects keep getting in my way, I can't die for a long-long time!!!-lol

I think sometimes we are so motivated that we want to do it all and then time passes and we lose interest. I thought of purchasing EQ a long time ago but never did. As for the movtivation......let me know when you find it, I think there are a lot of us burned out who need it found again!!! Prayers you and your family are doing well in the New Year!!!!

Oops, like everything, we are determined to give it a go and life gets in the way and we never do.

I bought Editor Lite V6 from Bernina, never had a lesson as a couple of months later the business was sold and now it cannot be used with Windows 10 so it looks at me and says "Howzit"!!
