Please cuties, could I ask for a few prayers? My husband has a tumor on his adrenal gland...not sure yet how serious but it may require radiation the doctors say. I am so frightened and worried. He puts up a strong front for me but I know he is worried too. This has come as quite a shock as it was an incidental finding after a routine CT scan.

My prayers are going up as I type for peace, strength and wisdom. Please keep us informed as you find out what treatment will be. And as I remind myself, don't waste worry until you know you need to worry. Trust in the Great Physician.

Nadyne, I went through something quite like this just about 2 years ago. My doctors called it adrenal adenoma. It, too., was an incidental finding. I went through many CT, MRI, and Pet scans. I was finally sent to an oncologist who sent me to a surgeon. The surgeon advised me that he was going to wait, but that we would watch it. This went on for several months. I finally heard that this surgeon had left the state, and I was sent to Mayo Clinic. Many more tests, and again was advised to wait...within a year it started to grow more, and the surgeon at Mayo removed my adrenal gland, as well as the tumor, which had encompassed the gland. -It was a relief to have it done, and even better when the surgeon called me personally and told me that it was benign. I would certainly advise you to go to Mayo clinic if it is possible for you. Wishing for the best and praying that things go smoothly for your husband.

Oh my, I forget what the adrenal does, but any part of the endocrine system is important. I will say a prayer that it is resolved quickly and with minimal trauma. Best wishes.
