Years ago a woman came to our quilt guild and taught a free class on Hawaiian quilting. It was very interesting and she shared so many neat patterns with us!!! Well, I decided to do it with needle turn applique and then hand echo quilt. What was I thinking?! It's finally done after many years of being laid aside. It was a great carry around project when going to hospital for over 2 years with my dad. So happy with the finish.

Yes, it was a lot of work. I love purple so I knew I had to use that and the border fabric was in my stash....it read "Hawaii".
