While awaiting the arrival of our newest great grand baby, I thought I'd see what your responses are to this question.
What does your husband say or think of your stash?
Mine is the great comedian. For instance here are a few things he says."Don't buy any fabric at Walmart, it has defects. Every time we go, she (meaning me) has to feel so much, she rubs holes in it." Another, "I don't know why she goes to the fabric department. She has more than they do now." "As much as she has, when she goes to make something, it's not the right color or shade, so she has to buy more."
Of course, all of these are his opinions and not necessarily true statements....lol lol lol
"Your side of the house is going to fall off if you put one more piece of anything in there."
"You DO NOT need one more thing". Can you believe that? Silly old man.
But I have to say, after 55 years of marriage he is tolerating my stash, for he knows how I feel about sewing. And I have come to the conclusion after this move, that I do need to use up some of the stash I do have. I have even blessed a couple of the Children's home and hospital with some of the quilts I have done with all of the fabric. And he has posted several pictures of the quilts I have made to his classmates site. So I think that even though I have a lot of clutter at times, he is proud of what I do.
I am so impressed that you are a great grand-mother Toogie, I don't think we'll ever have great grand children. Our eldest grandcild (a grandson) is only 13! Love Chris
Hugs, Lidia
As for my hubby he has come to terms with the size of my stash ie he has no idea, but ask him to go to Spotight to get something and he knows exactly where it is. I think I'll keep him around.
As for my husband, this is his opinion:
"If you can't beat them, join them"!
Hugs Roberta
