This is one of the projects keeping me super busy last long while. A nursery rhyme quilt for my 1st Grand daughter due in July. The designs are Anita Goodesign nursery rhymes, the Bonus Nursery Rhymes and some of the built in designs in my machine. This is only the top, haven't put batting and backing on yet. I am going to stitch in the ditch to quilt it. I also am making a charm pack 5 inch squares quilt for my step-grandson.

This is such a phenomenal achievement that it will be treasured as an heirloom and passed down through the years! I enjoyed looking at each block and seeing all the details you created. Thanks for posting this so I could enjoy it too!

I am a huge procrastinator. It has taken a long time, but it takes me forever to decide which fabrics, which colors etc. I love making these types of squares, the flip n stitch method.

WOW This is superb. I love looking at quilts with lots of interesting blocks. I love all the colours you've chosen too, the little girl will love it and when she is older will be able to read all the lovely verses. Well done, love Chris

P.S. Will you be making a quilt with all the girls that you've done from Vicki's site. I know you've been collecting them for a long time?

My first thought was woohoo, a grand daughter! so, Yes, when she is a little older she will get a quilt with all the Melancholy Babies. I think that's a quilt for a pre teen 10-12 yrs . As much as I procrastinate, I probably should start it now, cos it will probably take me 10 years to complete lolol.

It's beautiful. Those sets are on my "to do" list. Another project in my head, but not on the machine yet. Your result is outstanding.

I skipped the applique fabric, just did the outline of the applique. Also skipped the piece of batting behind the embroidery. I wanted it to be soft, and it will be without all those adds. Its a very addicting type of embroidery. :)

I made this quilt for my great nephew. You are right about it being pretty stiff with all the layers but niece hung it on the wall. Some of these squares had over 30,000 stitches. I won't be making another one--too much work for me :) I like the way you added squares.
